After Hong Kong actress Yu Ke-Hsin admitted to have once signed the marriage papers with Heavenly King Andy Lau, she revealed that Andy once gave her a few handmade dolls while they were still a couple. She plans to auction the dolls on the internet and donate the proceeds to the relief fund for Typhoon Morakot.
The dolls aren’t the only memories for Ke-Hsin’s previous relationship with the Heavenly King. The magnanimous actress revealed that she have kept all the little memories from their relationship and finally decided to auction them off after much deliberation for the sake of charity.
“I love little figurines, dolls, and Andy used to give [me] a lot of them. I have kept them for over 20 years and they are all dirty now. I can’t decide if I want to throw or keep them and they suggested for me to donate it all in the name of charity. A lot of people like Andy Lau and these are really items bought by him. The money will be donated to the villages and victims of Typhoon Morakot. It’s all for charity!”
Ke-Hsin’s mother recalled that Andy gave her daughter a few big boxes of figurines and dolls. As they could not bear to part with the items, the boxes of figurines and dolls were left in their old house. “They were still young, and Dong Dong (Ke-Hsin’s pet name) loves it! It is the thought that counts.”
Apart from the dolls, Ke-Hsin also shared the most memorable gift from Andy – a white gold necklace which had her pet name carved on it. Unfortunately, she lost the irreplaceable gift while she was filming an underwater scene.
On the Heavenly King’s confession to his relationship with Carol Chu and his admittance to have once signed the marriage papers with Ke-Hsin, the matriarch felt sorry for him as she said, “It is good that he admitted to it. Everyone please don’t force him anymore. I would like to wish him to get over this hurdle. It is important to care for fans but family is also equally important.”
